'Id like to hammer this ring into a bullet...', the dangers of playing the saw and...Sawchestra!3/14/2011 The first Tom Waits cover from my mini-album Im recording at home is here:
'Circus' This one is a dark spoken word track. Paying the tiiiiiny amount to download it, will go towards my NYC Musical Saw Festival fund! Its in July, and Id love to go to represent a bit of UK eccentricity! If not this year, then next year, as its a lot to raise! Go to the donate page above if you just wanna contribute without downloading anything. ------------- Had a rehearsal with the wonderful Sawchestra today, in preparation for our live 'Prince Achmed' puppet film score show on the 27th March at the Little Angel Theatre in Angel, Islington. You can buy tickets for a mere £5 here. Its a family friendly event, and audience members are invited to join in with our huge collection of found instruments. The Adventures of Prince Achmed is a truly beautiful lost treasure- filmed entirely with shadow puppets in 1926, we will be adding haunting melodies & soundscapes...come along! ---------------- In other news, advice for new saw players- dont leave your saw on the floor, you may tread on it and cut your foot, like I did not a moment ago. Ouch.
